Well friends…
Here we go! Even as I type these words I can't believe that I am actually here. Five years ago, I received one of the first prophetic words over my life. A stranger chased me down a hallway and said he saw me writing songs in my journal and said "God can't wait!"
These words changed my life! Though I may not have believed him at that very moment, I held his words close and began to pray about them. I have been involved in worship my whole life, but the idea of creating my own original songs was brand new to me. And yet, over the next few years, more words, experiences, feelings, and scripture that all weaved the same theme. I couldn't ignore it anymore - it was time to write! I began writing and sharing songs with my church and my friends, and have been so encouraged by their feedback and support. God has made His call clear over my life. And while I am still learning and growing, I now truly believe that I am called to write songs for people, for the church, and for the Kingdom of God! The Lord has melodies and words that He wants His children to hear and sing! I am honored to say “yes” to being His vessel and doing my part to deliver messages from Heaven. Yes, it's scary. I am quickly discovering that walking in obedience to God’s instruction can be costly, risky, and can absolutely push us out of our comfort zone. But I know that we are called to face our fears with the help of our Father in heaven who loves us and will never let us down!
So here’s where you come in: I am asking for your help so I can record these songs that God has been stirring in me. God has opened some unbelievable doors for me and I can't ignore His fingerprints all over every part of this story. In short, I have been given the opportunity to work with an amazing local producer (Gabriel Wilson) and am really excited to start working on this project of bringing songs out into the world! But I can’t do any of it without your financial support!
My hope is to record four songs for my first EP. The whole project will cost $20,000. This is a big number in my world, but Kawika and I fully believe that God will provide the funds to make this happen! This number covers all the costs from start to finish in creating an album such as studio time, musician fees, mixing and mastering, etc. Your donation would mean more to me than you may ever know. I will be honored to steward this project and to release these songs with the help of each of you. I am humbled to think how much you have already contributed to this moment - with your prayer, support, and encouragement. So it is with great humility that I ask that you would prayerfully consider contributing to this project, and I will receive every penny and every prayer with great thanks!
