Chandler's Fight for a Second Chance

Due to a tumultuous time in my nephew’s life and with the aid of online bullying, Chandler tried to end his own life. When the paramedics arrived, Chandler did not have a pulse, but by the grace of God and outstanding medical care, he is alive in a Salt Lake City hospital.

He is heavily sedated, on a ventilator, and has not opened his eyes. He has suffered from an anoxic brain injury, and the extent is not clear as of yet. There have been many ups and downs, but we have hope for small victories everyday.

My sister Renee, his mother, immediately flew from Ohio to be by his side and has been for 14 hours a day for the last 6 days. Unfortunately, the costs of hotel stays, food, and transportation are adding up and will continue for the unforeseeable future. Our goal is to have his mother stay in Utah for the best possible recovery for Chandler, as he has no family in the state. Any financial contribution will go directly to Renee and Chandler so she can continue her stay in Utah to be next to Chandler’s bedside day in and day out.
