Chance To Help Bob Castell- Blanch

At the requests of Lynda and Bob Castell-Blanch, I am writing our community- muscians, friends and family- to ask for your support as this couple navigate through very dark waters.   Our fellow musician, and dear friend, premier bay area guitarist Bob Castell-Blanch has been valiantly and very quietly battling prostate cancer the last 7 years. Having exhausted all viable treatments, he did his last public appearance at a fundraiser March 13th at the Empress Theater in Vallejo, ironically, for another sufferer of this disease, musician and teacher Steve Sage, whom he’s known for years. Bob, always generous of heart, forced himself out, very sick, to play for this event with the PHD’s, and the video/picture here is from that last gig.

Bob is resting quietly and comfortably at home, in the loving hands of his wife, in-house support from Napa Valley Collabria nurses and doctors, and other family members.  Many wonderful people have been asking how to contribute so this funding campaign has been set up to help them ofsett the incurring costs of such a catastrophic illness.  Most importantly extra financial support will afford Lynda the opportunity to personally continue to care for Bob, and keep medical coverage for both of them. Thank you all for your good thoughts, meditations and prayers toward this gifted guitarist and all around great guy.
