Help Lily Recover After a Cruel Attack

On Friday, our sweet neighborhood stray cat Lily endured something no animal should ever face. A terribly cruel person shot her (with a G*N), injuring her front leg and sending shrapnel into her chest. Lily has always been a gentle presence in our neighborhood: a caring mother, a friendly companion, and our unofficial mouse catcher. She did not deserve this.

Despite her injuries, Lily is a survivor. She has stayed strong, and today, Monday December 8, she is undergoing surgery to fully amputate her damaged leg. This surgery is her best chance at a pain free, healthy life.

We are not well off, and the cost of her amputation is $2,392. We are asking for help from anyone who is able to give, even a dollar, to support Lily’s recovery and give her a chance at a new beginning as an indoor kitty.

A police report has been filed so that this terrible act does not happen to another innocent animal. We are hopeful Lily will be the last victim of this person’s cruelty.
