Chambers family brain tumor treatment fund

Hello, my name is Maegan Culver and I am fundraising for the Chambers Family. Craig, Kaleigh Chambers and their 4 beautiful kiddos, Cade, Carson, Kambree and Crosby. Craig has been battling the effects of a benign brain tumor for the past 2 years and had an operation back in 2019 to remove most of the mass, but never got relief from his seizures & headaches. When fully recovered from his surgery, Craig and his family continued to seek relief from constant side effects of his seizures. Seizures that would make talking difficult, bring about confusion and cause severe lingering headaches.

 

Kaleigh and Craig met with a neurosurgeon who has experience with Craigs type of tumor over at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. The doctor found another tumor in Craig's brain in a different area, which is likely the cause of the seizures that have been taking place. This specific spot in the brain is a targeted and concerned area for treatment, but treatment is crucial in helping Craig feel better. The tumor is in the speech and memory part of Craig’s brain. Craig and Kaleigh, along with their medical team have weighed the advantages and disadvantages of another brain surgery, however they are all in agreement that helping Craig move forward with feeling better is necessary. 

 

The past two weeks, Craig has undergone many different tests at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona away from his wife and four kids. The goal of these tests was to try to target where the seizures were coming from and to weigh the risks of another brain surgery. He is now home in Idaho, and the team of doctors will make a plan of treatment within the next weeks. Craig will need to return to AZ Mayo Clinic for a pre-operative WADA test to make sure they don’t interfere with any speech or memory parts of Craig's brain. Once the test is completed, Craig will move forward with a treatment plan and possibly another brain surgery shortly after. 

 

There are many expenses that go into traveling to the treatment center including; airfare, medical expenses, lodging for him and his family and expenses to keep his family running while he is out of commission. Every dollar that is donated will go directly to Craig and his family to help relieve any financial strain and emotional stress during this difficult season.  

 

Craig has always had a huge heart for God’s people. He works with a passion in the sports and outdoors ministry at his home church, Real Life ministries. He also enjoys leading worship, song writing and playing guitar. He loves spending time and going on adventures with his wife and 4 beautiful children. Craig loves talking about his faith and sharing his love for Jesus with others. He is truly an amazing person with an extradorinaiy family.
