We have reached our goal! Thank you so much to everyone that donated! Without you the publishing of this book would not have been possible. It is now in print and will be out soon.
My name is Robin and I am helping my mom, Pamela Blackburn raise funds to publish her book titled Chamber of Memories. She has been writing her book for a number of years and it is now time to publish. We would like to raise the needed funds by the end of May. My mom and I would be so grateful for any help given.
Pamela's book will take you from her childhood and adult life here in Canada leading to her mission work in India. It is a very powerful book, written by a woman who is strongly committed to her Christian faith.
Here is a word from Pam.
Hi.
My name is Pam Blackburn. I have written a book called Chamber of Memories. It is a collection of memories from throughout my life leading up to the time of my salvation and beyond, to the places the Lord has led me.
I have been told, through His word, to write.
"Jeremiah 30.2 : Write in a book all the words I have spoken to you." (NRSV)
I have written it and have sent it to a publishing company.
(Word Alive Press) They have accepted my manuscript and will publish it.
I have been doing some fundraising locally and have raised
$4930.00 so far.
The costs will be.
Editing $ 2460
Publishing $ 3675
Printing $ 2100
Total $ 8235
Funds raised locally $-5630
Amount needed $2605
Although fundraising continues here at home, it has slowed and I need help in raising the remaining amount of money. Can you help me?
Thank you.
Pamela Blackburn
...and so it begins...
"Memories come in many varied ways and forms. Some are huge; others small, some frightening, while others are elusive, sliding in and out of conscious thought. Others come thundering down hollow halls ready to burst into view like a roman candle. From which direction will they come?
As my mind races up and down the corridors leading to the great chamber of remembering, the echoes of events filter in and out. They are beckoning me to venture into that place where past joys, laughter, tears, and sorrows are waiting for me. Should I enter this vast space where the murmurs of an invitation are heard? Yes, I will step inside. I will come face-to-face with what makes me who I am.
Looking into this enormous mirror of past history brings long-forgotten emotions erupting to the surface of my mind. It’s like a boiling cauldron, each bubble bursting as it reach the top, thrusting its mist into ill-formed images. Dare I look through the film to bring it all into focus? Was this not the purpose of this journey? As I start on this road that looks back, I must remember that I am not alone."
