Chamber Music Commission in Memory of Lynne Mazza
Tax deductible
Dear Friends,
As we all know, Lynne Mazza spent most of her career dedicated to music, and especially chamber music. She served many years as Associate Artistic Director and Program Annotator at the Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival, Colorado; Associate Artistic Director and Program Annotator for Ocean Reef Chamber Music Festival, Florida; and Programming Associate at Great Performers and Mostly Mozart at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, New York. At the time of her passing in July of 2023, Lynne was Associate Artistic Director Emeritus of Music from Angel Fire, New Mexico.
To memorialize Lynne and celebrate the joy she brought to her friends, family and the music community, please join in this effort to create a new chamber work in her honor.
Lynne Mazza was the Secretary of the Board of a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to commissioning new chamber works, Backshore Artists' Project Inc. (Tax ID 41-2064943). The goal is that her dear friends Tara Helen O'Connor (flute), Daniel Phillips (violin), and Kathleen McIntosh (harpsichord) will premiere the work at Music from Angel Fire (where Tara and Danny serve as Artistic Directors). Their input in terms of selecting a composer will be invaluable.
We welcome your support of this special project in Lynne's memory. Please make a donation to Backshore Artists Project Inc., through this secure website or send a check made payable to Backshore Artists Project Inc. to Barrie Steinberg's attention at 330 Bergen Street, #1D, Brooklyn, NY 11217.
Donations of any size are appreciated. Thank you in advance for helping Lynne's memory live on through the music she so dearly loved.
With heartfelt thanks,
Janice Mayer, President, Backshore Artists' Project, Inc.
Barrie Steinberg, Treasurer, Backshore Artists' Project, Inc.
Charlotte Schroeder, Secretary,
