With a big smile, we say thank you for considering to support our Forest Park Middle School fundraiser. This fundraiser was created to support Shalin Edwards. Shalin is a current 7th Grade student at our great school.
Shalin is a wheelchair bound student with a huge heart and perfect attitude. Always happy and always kind.
Shalin lives on a second floor apartment with his family. As a school community, we are dedicating our efforts during this fundraiser to purchase a chair stair in his home. Every morning, night and any time they leave their home, Shalin has been carried up/down the stairs by his mother Janice. It is our goal to purchase this chair so his family will never need to do this again.
The focus for the staff and students at Forest Park this year has been on community service and civility. Our school community has donated money towards cancer research, cleaned up an abandoned alley and held many can and food drives. This time we will attempt to help one of our own.
