Chain-free New Elephant Home (formerly Chokchai)

Please help New Elephant Home (formerly Chokchai elephant park) raise the money to build chain-free night shelters for their 15 elephants.
New Elephant Home is transitioning to an ethical sanctuary where former show elephants can now live a happy life free from abuse. In the past, the elephants were forced to perform tricks or were used for riding but all of this has changed. The young management team started the sanctuary last year and needs your support to build the shelters so that the elephants have a safe place at night to sleep in without being chained.
During the day the elephants enjoy swimming in the river and foraging through the fields and forests. To prevent their wandering off at night and eating the crops from the farmers around the sanctuary, which could possibly provoke human-elephant conflict, they need to spend the night in a shelter. Many times during COVID, hungry elephants wandered off at night and ate the farmers crops and often died a painful death from the fertiliser the farmers used. This happened all over Thailand. Chain-free shelters are the most ethical and the safest option, and we want to provide the elephants with the best possible life after all the have endured in the past.
However, these shelters are still rare and many sanctuaries keep their elephants chained at night, but we want to go further and give our elephants as much freedom as possible without chains.
Would you be willing to help us build these shelters? No amount is too small. Little by little, partnering together, we can achieve great things! Thank you!
