Just when things are going well, life can change in an instant. Just as it did recently for a close friend and conservationist, Chad Thelen.
After 14 years as a police officer, Chad's passion for the outdoors and conservation lead him to pursue a dream and Stoney Creek Outdoors was born. As a sole proprietor, Chad has worked hard to build a successful business. Through the efforts of Stoney Creek with Chad at the helm, he has been giving back to the natural world in many areas of the upper midwest. The real estate portion of Stoney Creek Outdoors was just recently starting to grow.
Unfortunately in early April, in the blink of an eye, Chad and his business were dealt a severe blow. Not feeling well, short of breath and after a litany of tests his doctors decided that heart catheterization was the proper treatment to combat his issues. It was during this procedure that doctors realized the severity of his condition. Coronary Bypass Surgery would be the only option.
On April 14th, just two short months prior to his 41st birthday, Chad had a triple bypass. As a sole proprietor, with the loss of wages coupled with mounting expenses, Chad, his wife Kendra and three beautiful toddlers could use help in this difficult time. April, May and June are crucial months for the health of his business and welfare of his family. Unfortunately for Chad, those months will be spent recovering from major surgery.
As a friend I’ve known Chad to be a public servant, a willing volunteer, a terrific husband, father, brother and son. With this and his volunteer work for the Quality Deer Management Association, Pheasants Forever and local conservation districts speak wonderful things about the man that he is.
