My name is Jennifer and I am raising funds for Samantha Niver, her husband Chad Taylor, and their three children, Wyatt, Ethan, and Brendon.

On Saturday November 11, 2023 Sam awoke to an absolute nightmare, her worst fear and the hardest call a brother could make, Chad was hurt.

Chad was involved in an off road vehicle accident while he was on a week long hunting trip, providing for his family with his stepbrother in northern Alberta, a trip that he looks forward and one he does every year for many years.

Due to service issues and the location of the injuries Chad endured they were forced to stay outside over night in the bush where he was made as comfortable as he could be by his amazing brother until it was known there was no help coming. His brother was then forced to do the hardest thing someone could have to do, he comforted him the best he could and was forced to leave Chad while he made the trek to service where stars was contacted and came to their rescue, Chad was airlifted out of the bush and immediately taken to hospital.

We immediately got into the vehicle and began to drive to Alberta to make sure she was there when he arrived. During this time

Chad was flown to Grand Prairie and then transferred to Edmonton with a prognosis of uncertainty, he is currently in ICU at the University of Alberta hospital where we are waiting for him to stabilize to return to BC to be closer to his boys.

We are reminded every morning that this indeed is not a nightmare, this is real and the beautiful life they have created together has so drastically changed. In this uncertain time your support is vital to surround Chad with love and comfort all those affected by this tragedy.

It is important for Sam to stand by her husband, being his cheerleader without worrying about anything else, focusing solely on Chad's recovery.

Chad is a loving father, husband, partner, son, friend and family guy. He is one of the kindest most hard working men there is, working at Highland Valley, Teck. Chad is the main provider for his family and with a long road to recovery the hope is to help provide some comfort to Sam and Chads family.

Let's give Chad and his family the time and peace they deserve to navigate his recovery journey.
