Hey everyone,

As most of you know my brother Chad has been going through some scary things with his brain the last 6 months.

I am seeking help for them to cover some costs of their ICU stay, Brain surgery and Mariah having to take 2 weeks off work post surgery to help Chad recover.

Details on what is going on are below:

On October 25, 2021 date Chad was at home working from home and had a sudden seizure. He fell to the ground broke his nose and eye socket along with several other scrapes and bruises.

He was rushed to the hospital where they ran tests and found a ¾ inch Cavernoma on his brain which cased a brain bleed. He was in the ICU for days and met with several neurosurgeons in Colorado. All the doctors were afraid of doing surgery due to the location on his brain that could effect speech and facial movements. They prescribed him with a VERY high dose of anti seizure medication to help prevent seizures.

On January 10, 2022 Chad had another seizure in his sleep.

At this time Chad and Mariah looked for another option of an out of state doctor.

They were able to find Dr. Lawton at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix Arizona. Dr. Lawton is confident that brain surgery is the right approach and best treatment to go in and remove the Cavernoma.

Chad and Mariah will head back to Phoenix on February 15 to have his full craniotomy surgery to remove the bleed and stop the seizures from happening.

This will cost Chad and Mariah about $10,000 out of pocket after insurance costs so anything you can do to help would be so greatly appreciated as they navigate this scary time.
