Hello, my name is Chadd a.k.a. Dahc Dermur VIII 

I am an artist, dj, performance artist and educator living life each day to the fullest with kindness and compassion. 

 In 2025 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and since then my health has radically declined with relentless health issues. 

By a miraculous sovereign act of grace, the doctors caught the cancer in time, and currently under active surveillance which has allowed me space to navigate options & treatment. 

I am meeting this head on, knowing I have the capacity to arise and conquer, like so many things in my life.  

The very near future will more than likely entail chemo/ radiotherapy and surgery due to the recent crisis points and tumour developments but as it stands my body is still too weak and requires further testing, strengthening and healing. 

Per the doctors orders i require dramatic continued changes to my lifestyle, and sacrificing whatever it takes to change the terrain of my body - as many of you know the last few years have also been wrought with relentless infections, immune disorders, chronic inflammation, and more.  

The combination of my age, my health deteriorating, with the backdrop of my 30 years of drug abuse, it has meant the journey is much longer and harder than I expected. What i need goes beyond NHS care, and requires a holistic approach to repairing my body.  

I’m 60 this year which is a miracle. i feel incredibly blessed that I have been able to endure all the health struggles, beating the odds and conquering sobriety.  

My livelihood has been in nightlife, as a DJ and performer; but sadly my body in its current state is struggling with the demands and late long nights, and so i will be retiring from nightlife permanently to rest heal and focus on my health. 

Nightlife has been my home, my safe space, and it is my community. It’s my heart, and it is where I am called MOTHER, it’s allowed me so many things, acting as a public platform to create, perform, express, grow and heal. I am eternally grateful for all it’s afforded me. 

As MOTHER, it is hard for me to ask for help because I love being the caretaker. I know so many of us are in need, and so it comes with great reserve, that we have decided to do a crowd funder.  

Though some of my cancer is being looked after by the NHS; I will need to repair my body before cancer treatment begins by using expensive private specialists and nutritionists; as well do further investigations and holistic treatments and research. so all of my funding goes towards these specialists, practioners and medicines, treatments, diets, and supplements that they prescribe and aftercare. 

The funding will also go towards my livelihood, plugging the loss of income from my surrendering of nightlife, which is my primary source of income. 

During this year I will not be completely gone. I will be taking the time to focus, and explore other parts of my artistic and spiritual practices ; while keeping it all in the framework of healing and what feels right with this new part of my journey. 

I have no idea what’s ahead and breaks my heart to have to share all of this with you, but feel it’s vitally important for us to be open, honest and vulnerable to allow ourselves to heal and not go through these things alone. 

More than ever I need the support of our beloved chosen family and wonderful community. 

My gratitude for each and everyone of you is insurmountable. I can’t thank you enough for your endless support and all you have graciously given over the years. I wouldn’t be where I am today without all of your currencies of love that continue to champion me in ways I knew not possible.
