Hi, my name is Kimberly Ann, and I am fundraising for Chadd, Jen and Baby Kailee.
A series of unfortunate events have recently fallen upon the McKeen family. In October of 2021, Chadd and Jen took their meager savings and left Orange county CA to pursue a better life in San Diego County, CA. They were on top of the world, and the future was looking bright for them and their soon to be born baby girl. Chadd had entered into a verbal business agreement to start a licensed cannabis cultivation project and grow produce and raise chickens for his partner's food trucks and a future restaurant. Chadd's partner would purchase the property that Chadd and Jen would live on while managing the ranch.
After a few months of being in San Diego, Chadd realized his partner was not holding up to his end of the agreement. After a conversation regarding such, Chadd's business partner (homeowner) issued a 30-day notice to vacate. To make matters worse, Chadd's partner locked them out of part of the prooerty, blocked their phones through the parental controls of the wifi router, threatened to turn off the utilities and filed a false police report, which caused their residence to be raided by the SWAT team and crop destroyed and product confiscated. These circumstances have left the McKeen family in financial distress. They just had a baby, are facing eviction next week and have significant legal fees coming down the pike.
Chadd is one of the kindest people I know and helps people without question. I hope we can come together and offer this family a little peace of mind during this challenging time.
James 2:14-17
What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
