Life-Saving Surgery for Chad Young
Donation protected
Yesterday morning, our buddy Chad Young was playing basketball when he collapsed on the court. Many individuals jumped into action after a few scary minutes and performed CPR. After receiving no response from Chad, he was then hooked up to a defibrillator where he was shocked and then revived. In that moment we all experienced a true miracle. He was taken to Upper Chesapeake and had 6 stents put in due to having multiple blocked arteries. He is now recovering in the ICU and getting stronger each day.
The doctors are describing his episode as a "Cardio Death/ Arrest" and because of the quick response from all the individuals there that morning, Chad is alive and has no major damage to his brain or body. A BIG thank you to Joe Gross, Armand Walters, Steve Lozinak, Dom Dubois, Luke Erickson, Jeff Swab, Steve Lutche, Jim Edwards and Ephraim Dorsey. Praise God for his healing touch and for everyone that was involved including the EMT’s, nurses and doctors.
We appreciate any and all donations for Chad, Beth and the Young Family as they will be faced with some large medical bills as a result of this incident. As we all know, in times like this it takes a true community to come together and support one of our own.
