Have you ever met someone and you realize there is something about that person that is just so memorable? You know there are those few you have encountered that you know you’ll never forget. Amanda Clark is one of those people. I had the privilege to go to nursing school with her. I had the privilege of working in the same field as one of the best nurses. I’ve had the privilege to keep up with her years after college through social media. She got married to Steve. She went back to school and is now a nurse practitioner. She has two beautiful babies, Addie and Cade. Her life was pretty great but at the age of 34 and only six months after having her son, she met Chad. You may blow off that encounter but you don’t know Chad! Chad turned her whole world upside down instantly. He made her begin to doubt her future. He made her feel feelings she had never felt before. He took her security and happiness from her. Chad is who/what she has named the cancer that is invading her body. Amanda has been recently diagnosed with metastatic rectal cancer attributed to a genetic mutation. But Amanda is fighting Chad with all that she has. And if you know her, you know she is a fighter! I mean Amanda is not really a boxer or MMA fighter, but she is strong and determined. And she is just an all around good person!
I am starting this fundraiser for Amanda. It will simply provide Amanda and Steve some funds to do with what they wish - ordering groceries or dinners, paying for someone to take care of their housekeeping or landscaping so they can just enjoy their time together, getting a photographer to come take pictures of their beautiful family, the inevitable medical bills that go along with such a diagnosis, just whatever they may want or need. I figured this is a way that friends and family could contribute and shower them with love without being intrusive. Any donation would be appreciated. Also, keep Amanda in your thoughts and prayers as she battles Chad.

Matthew 8:1-3 When He came down from the mountain, large crowds followed Him. Right away a man with a serious skin disease came up and knelt before Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Reaching out His hand He touched him, saying, “I am willing; be made clean.” Immediately his disease was healed.
