Chad & Julie vs. Brain Tumor

Chad was diagnosed with a brain tumor almost 10 years ago - - just 3 weeks before he  married Julie (my niece).   They have been together since they were 12 and 14 years old.  Chad has been through 3 rounds of chemo (one round was 2 kinds of chemo at the same time) and radiation, 2 biopsies, and 2 surgeries - the latest tumor was very aggressive.  He has now lost the sight in his right eye. Treatment options are limited.  They're going to try an immunotherapy drug with radiation.  The prognosis is uncertain.   Chad has been unable to work since Oct. 2015 & is on disablility. Julie can't afford to use FMLA because they need her income.  Julie's car is 10 years old & constantly needs repairs - but they can't afford a car payment.  They have a 7 year old daughter, Emily, & a 4 year old son, Carter. They're barely making it now & it will just get worse. They owe a ton in medical bills now, with more to come.  They have about $20,000 in credit card debt.  They deferred Chad's student loans (over$50,000) but they will be due soon.  They've been renting a home that they planned to buy -- now they don't see that happening anytime soon.  Chad was unable to get adequate life insurance because the tumor was considered a pre-existing condition.
