CHAD BEARDEN - He walks by Faith

Hello, my name is Bobbie Glenn and I am the mother of Chad Bearden. I month ago, my dear, sweet son called to give me the heartbreaking news that he had been diagnosed with non-operable lung cancer. He is only 48 years old. He has worked hard all his life. He has worked the last 22 years at Mueller, a manufacturer of fire hydrants in Albertville, Al. He is a skilled craftsman machinist and loves his job and those he works with. To know Chad is to love him. He is the most loving person I know. He is married to Misty. They have a son Corey, that is serving our country in the U S Army at Ft. Bragg (Special services). They have a daughter Brittany, who is a loving, hard-working mother. She is a survivor and it breaks her heart that she cannot fix this for her dad. He has always been her rock. Chad and Misty are currently raising their 5-year-old grandson, Olliver (Ollie). He loves his Poppa and Gigi very much. Chad's heart just breaks thinking he may not be around to be there for Ollie.
Two weeks after receiving the initial diagnosis, the further test showed that he has a brain mass as well. Cancer has metastasized to the brain. A treatment plan was slow to get started pending pathology reports. We found out today it is Squamous nonsmall cell lung cancer.
Steroids have been started and now brain surgery has been scheduled for Monday at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Al. Lung surgery is not an option at this time because of the size and location of the mass in the lung... and it lies adjacent to the heart. This has been devastating to all of us and hard to wrap our hearts around it.
Chad has not been able to work because the mass in the brain affects his memory and because of his overall health. Chad stresses greatly over the financial obligations of caring for his family, paying the household bills, groceries, travel expenses and medical treatment.
Chad is a Christian and he is praying for a miracle, for guidance and wisdom as he walks this path that he has been given. I pray for that as well and that I along with all of his family and friends may surround him in love and support. I know but one other person that could love him more ... our loving heavenly father whom I pray will watch over those caring for him and not take him from us.
If you find it in your heart to help support Chad, please donate. I know you will be blessed as much as he is. We love Chad so much. God Bless you. ~ A loving mother, Bobbie Glenn
