Chad and Johana Kauffman

Dear friends.  On March 18, my brother Chad Kauffman was rushed to the hospital and has been diagnosed with COVID-19.   He is on a ventilator and the situation is extremely grave.  His wife Johana has also been diagnosed and is recovering at home.   Many of you wonderful humans have asked how you can help, so we decided so set up a GOFUNDME page.  As you can imagine, this is a terrifying time for both of them.   We hope enough people will contribute (no amount is too small) so that at least they will not have to worry about immediate financial issues.   Although we are hoping for support from the government and insurance, at this time there are so many unknowns.  The one thing that we DO know is that neither of them are able to work right now.

Besides helping financially, just as importantly, we covet your prayers.   We have so much appreciated all of your kind texts, phone calls, cards, and emails.   It has already become apparent to us that we are surrounded by the most loving, kind and thoughtful people that we could ever hope for, both in our community and further abroad.
