Chabot Nursing Class of 2023 Pinning Fundraiser
Donation protected
The pinning ceremony symbolizes a welcome into the new profession that nursing students have carefully chosen to take. These ceremonies date back to the 12th century when the Knights of the Order of the Hospital of St. John the Baptist took care of the Crusaders. The new monks were given a Maltese cross badge for vowing to serve the ill soldiers.
What inspired us to choose nursing may be different per person, but in unity, we think of it as a "calling." The meaning behind the ceremony and pin is a right of passage, a symbol of achievement and dedication that we went through to finish nursing school & help our community as healthcare providers. The funds from this GoFundMe will be put towards our graduation expenses, such as the ceremony, pin, & sashes.
We hope our friends, family, and the community around us can help us reach our fundraising goal. Every donation is appreciated. We look forward to celebrating this milestone with our class, family, and professors who have aided us through this journey.
Please feel free to write words of encouragement to the student you're supporting!
We appreciate your generosity.
