Joey is almost finished with day 5 of round 1. He is doing well, but is experiencing tiredness and nausea. He will have 2 weeks break and then begin his 2nd and final round on December 18. Joey has been amazing through all of this and is looking forward to putting all of this behind him. We thank you all for continued prayers and support. We will continue to keep you updated in the next round.

Update: I didn’t  mention before that Joey is the son of my oldest son Robert and Chantelle Goebel. Joey has started chemo. He will have 2 rounds, each being 5 days in a row, 4-5 hours per day. He will have 2 weeks break and will begin his 2nd treatment on Dec. 18. The new picture above is the beginning of Day 2. Joey, we love, support, and pray for you always. We love you “mostest”.

Hello, my name is Terri Harper. I am raising funds for Joey Harper, my grandson. He is 18 years old and was diagnosed with testicular cancer in October. He had a surgery to remove one testicle at that time. He had a blood test following his first surgery and tumor markers had increased. There was a decision by the family and doctors to remove lymph nodes. When surgeons went in to remove lymph nodes, they discovered a mass. This mass was removed during the surgery. When pathology came back, the lymph nodes were clear, but the mass was cancerous. Joey’s next step of treatment is chemotherapy.

There is a second part to Joey’s story. Joey is 18 years old and has always been adamant about wanting children. Joey’s treatments run the risk of infertility, so Joey has made deposits into the local sperm bank. These deposits require a monthly service fee.

The funds I request here are to cover Joey’s copayment for medical bills and to cover the service fee to keep his sperm viable until he is ready to use it.

Any funds received above medical costs will be donated to testicular cancer research.
