Our beloved Courtney is seeking community support to access the care she needs during a very challenging time in her health journey. With both courage and humility, we share her journey with you, alongside a deep hope for true and lasting health.

Courtney’s spinal journey began in 2011 after a serious ocean injury, followed by a car accident that compounded the damage. Since then, she has been deeply committed to her healing, working with a wide range of practitioners and investing significant personal resources into treatments that supported periods of stability over the years.

Over the past two years, however, her symptoms have significantly intensified. Her diagnoses include cervical disc injuries, cervical instability, ligament damage, nerve compression, and loss of natural spinal curvature contributing to chronic daily pain, headaches, insomnia, and increasing limitations in daily life.

Many days, Courtney has difficulty sitting upright, preparing meals, focusing on work, or sleeping. There have been weeks where her functioning is completely impaired and she’s barely able to move.

Thanks to the incredible support of this community, she has already raised over $9,000 toward her first stem cell and PRP treatments in May. Continued support will help her move forward with this next phase of care — an important step toward stabilizing her spine and supporting her body’s ability to heal, as part of a larger care plan over the coming year.

If you know Courtney, you know her as a deeply creative, soulful, and caring being. Her voice, music, and healing presence have touched many lives. She longs to return to greater stability and vitality, not only for her own wellbeing, but so she can more fully share her gifts and creative work with the world.

After extensive research and consultations with doctors and spine specialists, she now has a comprehensive care plan in place. Here in Colorado, she is continuing specialized spinal care and rehabilitation to support stability and alignment.

As a next step, she will begin working with a specialist in interventional orthopedics focused on regenerative treatments. Through consultations with multiple experts, a series of stem cell procedures, combined with other regenerative and structural treatments over the next year, has been recommended to help stabilize the ligaments in her upper cervical spine, support tissue regeneration, and improve alignment.

Spinal fusion is the primary alternative, a major and irreversible surgery. According to her neurosurgeon, this could limit her ability to turn her head over time and may require additional fusions in the future. She is doing everything she can to support her body in healing and avoid going down that path.

She has continued to work and do what she can throughout this journey, remaining committed to using insurance wherever possible. At this point, however, she has reached a new chapter of healing that requires more specialized care and consistent support — much of which is not covered.

She has poured immense time, energy, and personal resources into her healing, and now finds herself at a place of deep dedication alongside real physical and emotional fatigue.

She is opening to receive support from her community, allowing herself to be more fully held through this next phase.
