Every pet parent's worst nightmare has happened to us. Misty, my aunt Cheyennes emotional support dog, needs surgery. We were hiking on Mt. Charleston Saturday morning when she went to pee and something didn't seem right with the color. We rushed back down the mountain and headed to Southern Hills Animal Hospital to find that she has multiple, large bladder stones and will need surgery to remove them and stop the bleeding.
She is in good spirits, thank God, and doesn't seem to be in pain, but the doctor said this surgery needs to be done within the upcoming week. We scheduled her an appointment for Wednesday, September 2nd, out of hopes we would have the money by then, and we have applied for a few non-profit grants that may take time. We ask those of you who know us, who know Misty, and those who just simply care enough to help as much as you can, to help us reach our goal so Misty can get the treatment she needs. She turns 6 on September 10th. Shes got so much longer to go. We were not prepared for this and cannot financially afford the surgery on our own. I thank you so much in advance, and Cheyenne will be forever grateful.
