On May 11, 2014 around 11 AM, after visiting with family, I was involved in a head on collision at highway speeds, tragically and to my everlasting regret the driver of the other vehicle passed away in the collision. My two dogs (one my service animal that was instrumental in my PTSD therapy, the other I raised from a pup) also died as a result of this accident. There are no human sounds that can adequately express the grief I feel at all the pain this accident has caused. May 11, 2014 was a horrible day for car accidents throughout the state of Colorado, and I was involved in one such tragic accident. The Denver Post even reported so (http://www.denverpost.com/weathernews/ci_25741717/snowy-mothers-day-front-range), that day being the last of the spring storms that saw rain, sleet, and snow fall from the sky.
Anyone involved in an accident with a fatality faces a careless driver resulting in death charge, and I am no exception. This has the power to ruin my life completely. As a 100% service connected disabled veteran living on my disability I do not have the funds to mount an adequate legal defense, nor are there organizations that help with these particular difficulties that veterans face. Enough pain has come of this.
I am broken by this as it is. As tragic as this accident is for all involved I still need to defend myself. I need your help in raising funds for my legal defense. I need to raise 15 to 20 thousand dollars in order to hire a lawyer and a professional accident investigator to help prove that the weather and road conditions were the cause of this horrible tragedy. By helping you have the opportunity to save a life.
