Fuck cancer

Sooo I absolutely did not want to do one of these and I suck real bad at asking for help..

I was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in July. I haven’t been able to eat or drink anything since before Memorial Day and have to rely on a feeding tube for all my nutritional needs. I wanted to pursue fertility preservation and freeze my eggs, which put a 2-3 month delay on my treatments, and I ended up not able to do so, which put me at a severe disadvantage and my cancer is pretty advanced.

I have finally started aggressive chemotherapy and have spent a lot of time in and out of the hospital.. which has set me pretty fucking far behind on bills. It’s been very difficult for me because I am used to doing everything myself, but I’m unable to work right now so the bills keep piling up. I spent the last 7 days in the hospital swapping and having my feeding tube completely redone and replaced and now it’s finally back up and working so hopefully I will gain some weight before my next chemo appointment.

The plan is to do 4 cycles of strong chemotherapy, surgery to remove the tumor, and then another 4 cycles of chemo. After my treatments, I am going to try to do the fertility stuff, but we have a long road ahead and right now we are just taking it day by day.
