Rahni Reyes has been a stylist at Kepare in Capitola, CA for 25 years. Those of you who know Rahni, know that she is a spunky, adventurous, hard-working soul.
After taking a well-deserved, three week vacation to Cuba, Rahni jumped right back into work. She was prepared to return to a full schedule and play catch-up. Due to an overload of continuous repetition being a hairstylist, her arm finally gave out.
After an MRI and speaking with an orthopedic surgeon, surgery is the only option. Rahni has a torn rotator cuff and is facing surgery on February 3rd. Recovery is expected to take three months. She will be unable to move her arm and has been forced to take a leave from work.
Being self-employed is a gift. Self-employment has allowed Rahni to be flexibile with her schedule and time. However, a disadvantage of self-employment means you only get paid when you work. There are also very few disability benefits. As Rahni will not be able to work, she needs financial support to cover her costs of living during her recovery. She would welcome any financial contribution to aide her during her time off work and through her healing process. Rahni would be immensely appreciative and deeply thankful for any assistance.
Rahni is a determined, fiercely independent, self-reliant person. She is relentlessly positive, with her sunny disposition and a laugh that is contageous. She doesn't like asking for help, (we think this is her own personal disorder) but she needs it.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your consideration. Every positive thought and prayer is important and meaningful.
