Shay’s Fight

My name is Brandi Cardona and I have been life long best friends with Lashay Acorn and consider her family my own! On June 1st, Lashay was diagnosed with Ductal Carcinoma, an aggressive form of breast cancer. At this point we know that Lashay will have several rounds of chemo, radiation and a double mastectomy. As most of you know, Lashay has been a hair stylist for the past 20 years and takes pride in her work. The beauty industry is one that is highly rewarding, but also leaves no room for time off. When Lashay is not behind the chair, she is not earning an income. As someone who loves this family dearly, I am coordinating this act of love to help ease the financial burden that this ugly diagnosis tends to cause families who have to endure it. We want her, her husband Stephen and her seven year old son Jax to be able to focus on her and her full recovery. We thank you for generosity and please know that the Acorn family loves you all!
