Commitment to Dave's Wellness

Cheryl Palmer and I are creating this page because we want to support our dear friend David Curtis who means so much to us.

David is a beloved father, husband, resident, friend, and mentor. Dave and Kaitlyn are the parents of three beautiful children. He has spent the last decade sacrificing his time and energy to develop into a physician, including spending late nights away from his family to care for patients and learn how to diagnose and treat various diseases and disorders. While Dave was preparing to take his board exam to finally become a board-certified pathologist, he developed a severe headache. After months of uncertainty, Dave has been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor, throwing his future into uncertainty. Dave has given so much to those around him who know him and many who will never meet him or hear his name, and after all his sacrifices, he is now unlikely to reach the earnings that follow medical training.  His positivity is infectious, and his kindness knows no bounds. He touches the lives of all those who interact with him with his cheery smile and helpful attitude.

As Dave and his family navigate this new unforeseen chapter in their lives, we set up this page to help them have one less thing to worry about. All proceeds will be given directly to Dave and Kaitlyn to help them cover the costs of such a dramatic life change. These costs may include medical bills and associated costs, childcare, and education for his surviving family. . Dave biked to work for years to stay healthy and save money. I know he and his family will treat any support as a unique gift that helps them to spend whatever time remains in the most meaningful way while also preparing for an uncertain future.
