Help save my mum

Hi, I am Jessica and Maree is my beautiful mother who has just been diagnosed with a very high grade Stage 4 Glioblastoma. The Doctors have given her 12-18 months life expectancy as sadly this is one of the most aggressive brain cancers that still does not have a cure.

We start mums chemo and radiation journey for 6 weeks at the beginning of July in which some patients don’t get to finish. We would love to look into starting a trail drug against this horrible cancer, in which the cost unfortunately would be very large. We ask with all the kindness and love in our hearts for any donation to help mum get all the help she can to fight this.

I have stopped work and moved up from sydney to be by mums side and give her all my love and support while she goes through this most challenging time in her life. While mum fights for her life I don’t want her to worry with any financial stress.

We are currently staying with dear friends for the time being in which we will need to find our own home in the next month or two. As I am no longer receiving an income and mum awaits financial government help the cost and reality of finding a home is another challenge we face. I would love to give mum a home she can relax and gain her strength in and be a haven for her.

Life is not without its challenges and mum has been given a big one that in my books is unfair and not deserving at all. To begin to imagine a life without my mum is unbearable. She is not just my mum but my best friend, my soulmate and is there for me no matter what.

I don’t like to be in a position to ask for this kind of help but sometimes you have to be brave and humble and reach out when you most need it.
