Randy Porter taught and coached in Texas schools for nearly 40 years, and he is greatly loved and respected by his former students, athletes, and colleagues. Since his retirement in 2006, Randy has remained active in the public school system as a school bus driver, a part-time coach, and a stadium manager. In addition to his service to public education, Randy ranched most of his adult life. Now, unfortunately, this big, strong, active man is practically bedridden due to a terrible infection following a series of back surgeries. Randy's problems came to a head toward the end of last year. The back and leg pain that he dealt with for years had become so horrific that he opted for another back surgery to try to ease the misery. At some point during the process, an infection set in that has ravaged Randy's body ever since. Consequently, Randy has been in and out of hospitals and rehabs and has not slept in his own bed for months. With his inability to work his part-time school jobs or work his ranch, Randy's income has disappeared. Please consider contributing to help Randy and his lovely wife Julie keep up with their obligations. Thank you so much.
