Hi, my name is Merissa, and I’m a single mom to two amazing boys one of whom has autism. I’ve always tried to handle life’s challenges on my own, but lately, the weight has been a little too heavy to carry alone.

This morning our basement flooded here in Milwaukee, and we lost so many of our stored items. things that mattered to my boys and I, from clothing , bed frames and mattresses , musical instruments , gaming monitors , to important keepsakes and seasonal necessities. While our home upstairs is safe, losing what we had stored below has been an emotional and financial setback I wasn’t prepared for.

Your kindness will help me replace essentials for my kids and myself, bring back some comfort and normalcy, and take away a little of the stress that’s been put on us.
