My name is Christopher Dombkowski. I was, up until recently, a veteran special education teacher.

I, however, am a different case.

On November 8, 2022, after an entire school year of documentation, warnings, and requests for safe schools enactment, I was attacked and assaulted by one of my students who had butted me in the eye and into a wall, causing a traumatic brain injury.

The district from that day forward has abandoned me as if I don’t exist and refuses to speak to the incident. They did everything they could to not only sweep it under the rug but assure that I could not get any sort of financial compensation to help take care of my medical and future needs.

Over this time, I have met many others like me and many others wronged by not only this district but many others.

I am still currently seeking medical treatment and assistance to try to move my life forward after what happened in the district on that dark day.

I have really dedicated my life to helping others like me who have been wronged by districts and exposing the truth, while trying to rebuild my life and functional skills to hopefully regain employment at some point in a proper manner.

All I had ever asked for was proper medical treatment, and I couldn’t even get a check-in to see if I was OK. They’ve had no problem hiding the story from the public while hiding other stories to keep their optics looking good.

The attached video is a fair summary, but up to this point, I have only had 17 days of actual medical treatment. There has been a little more done beyond evaluative purposes, and a refusal to follow through with proper medical care by workers' compensation in the state of Texas. I’ve been in a multi-year battle, trying to move forward and get proper medical treatment to no avail.

I have not had a full paycheck since November 2022 and have not had any paycheck since the summer of 2024.

I’m not unwilling to work, but I cannot drive and have many medical restrictions that the district refused to accommodate and chose instead to fire me publicly for speaking out about the incident that they have chosen to ignore.

I am simply seeking money to try to get myself back into a functional state so that I can help not only myself but the others around me like I have been working towards doing.
