Help Orphans Learn English in Inezgane, Morocco
Donation protected
In September 2020, our organization, Yallah Al-Quds (www.yallahalquds.com), began a pilot virtual program teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL). Our EFL program links teams of American college students studying Arabic with a group of orphans from Inezgane, Morocco, learning English.

Inezgane is a small village outside of Agadir in the region of Sous in Southern Morocco. Educational opportunities in Inezgane are scarce, and English language instruction especially rare, since French is the commonly taught foreign language. Through Yallah al-Quds, young people in Inezgane now have the opportunity to gather for English classes with native English speakers who also study Arabic once a week online. This transformative learning and teaching exchange has been a source of light in a dark time, and has the potential to change the course of the lives of these vibrant young people.
Yallah al-Quds currently hosts four English classes in Morocco: two in Rabat and two in Inezgane. In Rabat, through generous support and donations from local organizations, we have set up a high-quality virtual classroom and all technology needs are met at present. (See photo below.)

Unfortunately, our technology set up in Inezgane is very basic, which makes teaching our 20 current English students very challenging. The local charitable association (Jama’iyyat Ṭaiba) that hosts our classes needs updated technology in order to better facilitate the students’ learning experience; currently, the students are in need of the following:
- a new laptop
- a flatscreen TV monitor
- a microphone
- a speaker
- a webcam

We believe that by raising $2,000, we will be able to purchase this equipment for our students and help them excel in their studies. We also hope that, by upgrading the technology setup in this classroom, we will be able to expand our efforts and reach more young people from the community who have expressed interest in joining our Yallah al-Quds EFL classes.
Would you help us reach our goal by contributing $10 or $20 dollars toward our campaign? Any amount would be so deeply appreciated! (*Please note that your generous donations will not be tax deductible as we are not yet a classified non-profit organization.)
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts! Baraka Allahu fi-kum!!!
