Hi,

I'm Jessica, but a lot of you know me as Jessie. I want to start off by saying it's really difficult for me to create this gofundme, but I have to swallow my pride because desperate times call for desperate measures.

I'm 34 and a mom to 2 beautiful children, Carlos and Juliana. I'm also a devoted wife to my husband, Jesus, for 10 years. My passion is educating youth. I have been an English teacher at a high school in Cypress, Texas for the last 4 years and I absolutely love it. It brings me great sadness to be out of my classroom right now.

A lot of you know that my first battle with cancer was in 2018 when doctors discovered a brain tumor and I had surgery to remove it. Then, in February 2022, I learned I also have Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. I underwent 7 rounds of chemo, and debulking surgery, and was declared NED in September 2022. Then, my world came crashing down when I learned in January 2023 that my cancer was back already. My doctor flat out told me I have 2 years left to live and to get my affairs in order.

I am back on chemo, but due to my symptoms and the side effects of chemo, I have not been able to work. I am currently on UNPAID FMLA and the financial stress is so overwhelming. This is why I need your help. Without my income, we are unable to pay our bills, and our debt, especially medical, is mounting at an alarming rate.
