For 10 years, our daughter Brittany lived in an abusive marriage that brought her to the verge of destruction. Through it all, she remained faithful to him, her precious children, her faith, and her integrity. After an unimaginable amount of physical, emotional, sexual, and financial abuse, she filed for divorce. The bills piled up, multiple court costs were incurred, and the grocery costs doubled what they used to be. Diapers and gas have become luxury items. Accountability and spousal support don’t exist. It was getting financially tight, but Brittany made it work for her kids. She sold her clothes, her furniture, excess items, and personally did without.
