CFX Ecuador Xavier High School

Dear All,


Thank you for reading my GoFundMe. My name is Will Smith and I am a Junior at Xavier High School on 16th Street in Manhattan. Xavier has invited me to participate in a “CFX” service trip to Ecuador where my classmates and I will serve the community by spending time with local residents, engaging in prayer and carrying out community-service projects. To confirm my spot on the trip, I am asking for your help in raising $800 to cover the cost of lodging, transportation and food. 


I realize that $800 is a significant amount of money, so I would like to provide you with additional information that might be helpful to you in considering a donation. I believe in the CFX program, having participated in my freshman and sophomore years. In my freshman year, I went to First Fruits Farm in Maryland where I gathered crops for underprivileged communities. In my sophomore year, I went to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, where I performed community service and spent time with Native Americans.


With nearly 3 years of Spanish under my belt, I feel that I could make a meaningful difference in Ecuador and I could help bridge the gap between our cultures. Anyone interested in providing a donation, no matter how small, may click on the “Donate Now” link.
