God bless who ever takes the time to read this ,,, for those that do not know me my name is Michael Ian Shelton.

I have started this fund raiser to hopefully raise enough money to pay for the construction of a wheelchair ramp. So that I may have easier access into my home this project will cost. $2500.00,,,,, $2000.00 for the wood, screws and straps and $500.00 for the labor. Please understand that I normally don't ask for help, usually I am the one that will take care of my own problems as well as helping others. On December 19th 2022 I had my leg amputated. Due to a injury from my dog with a combination of a genetic disease called factor 5 Leiden which is a disease that causes blood clots that cause damage to your veins in which makes it difficult for the white blood cells to get to the wounds to heal. Well that's the science behind why I lost my leg but here's the story behind why I lost my leg. For the last 3 yrs give or take I have suffered immense pain in my right leg on a pain scale of 1-10 my pain was at a 1000. It started with a small hole from my dogs toe nail. Which quickly became a non healing ulcer and that became many non healing ulcers. I took as many steps possible to be healed I went to wound therapy for years as well as being hospitalized well over 10 times. I have had many surgeries to try to stimulate growth as well as plastic surgery. In the end nothing worked and I was given the option to continue or to amputate and I chose amputation because I'm tired of fighting something that has no end in sight. At least this way I had a better chance of running and playing with my children with the help of a prosthetic. I have not been able to do that since they where born.
