My brother Tyler was riding his motorcycle on his way home from work on HWY 99 in Tigard, OR, when he was hit by a van that, at a high rate of speed, was turning right into oncoming traffic. My brother was then thrown off his bike and was run over by another vehicle and pinned under, screaming in pain as people ran from their cars to try to keep him calm as police and paramedics arrived. He was then taken by ambulance to a trauma team at OHSU. He woke up to the most excruciating pain, with lots of tests, X-rays, and CT scans revealing he had broken his right femur and right arm. He was then informed he would need emergency surgery to reconstruct his hand, wrist, and femur. And after enduring all of this, he will have a long road to recovery with physical therapy and many doctor visits along the
With the support of these funds, Tyler will be able to focus on his recovery and have help supporting his fiancé and three kids, as well as covering unexpected expenses that come up in these difficult circumstances.
