Justice for Eric Haider

Justice for Eric Haider has been an ongoing mission for 10 years. In all those years, our family has gotten no justice at all. We are the victims of a never ending murder mystery. What happened to my dad that day? I don’t know... But what we do know is that on May 24th, 2012 at a little past noon, my dad went missing from the jobsite in Dickinson, ND. The company never informed us that my dad didn't ride back in the van with the crew. ALL of the employees insisted that he “walked off”. ALL of them had the same story. We knew that was not true. After, what seemed like a short investigation, the Dickinson police department found nothing. No evidence, no leads, no nothing. Which in turn, they closed the case. That's when my family decided to take matters into our own hands by all of us getting enough money together to hire a private investigator. They are absolutely amazing and have been a blessing on our behalf. For 2 months they did extensive research from their office in South Dakota. Then they drove up to Dickinson, North Dakota and found him late on a Thursday night. My dad was found buried at the jobsite just 10 feet from where they dug 3 years prior which was 4 days after he went missing. He was found 6 feet under the ground still wearing his work gear and hard hat. We have never, to this day heard anything from the company he worked for. We strongly believe we deserve answers. We deserve to know what really happened that day. Someone is responsible for my dad's death. Someone knows what happened. My family doesn’t deserve to live with this pain and uncertainty. I was 12 when I lost my dad. I was 15 when I found out he was killed. I’m 20 now. I have a son that will never know his grandpa. I will someday walk down the isle without my dad to give me away. I was forced to accept that. I at least want to know exactly what happened to him and why. I want to see justice, I want to see my family have some peace.
