My dear family friends have suddenly lost their son/brother and need help traveling from Southern New Mexico to Oregon and with the expense of burial as well as to provide support for his two children. Please help me make this tragic and heartbreaking loss a little easier on his grieving family who are already facing illness and financial difficulty.

It's hard to explain what a beatutiful soul has left us, but I'll take some of the words from his community:

Eli was truly one of the sweetest, most radiant souls our family has ever/ had the privilege of knowing. His presence always lit up a room, and his kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

I will forever cherish the moments our paths crossed—whether it was bowling nights or simply sharing space at glass community gatherings, Eli’s warm, infectious smile and easy sense of humor always had a way of putting people at ease. He had a gift for making others feel seen, and I’ll always be grateful for the way he would check in with me—knowing how socially awkward I can sometimes feel—ensuring I felt comfortable and welcomed.

Some of my most treasured memories are watching him with Ember and Opal as they were growing up, and later, seeing him with his own children. He had such a beautiful way of shifting from deep, thoughtful conversations with adults to tender, engaged connections with children—often kneeling to meet them at their level, giving them his full attention and care. It was something truly special to witness.

Eli’s incredible talent and spirit brought so much to the artistic community, and his loss leaves a void that words can’t begin to fill. The world is dimmer without his light, and I so wish I had better words to offer you in this unimaginable time of grief."
