At the beginning of May, Dan’s life changed in an instant. Just two hours into his own stag do, he suffered a devastating fall from height which left him with a serious traumatic head injury.
Since then, Dan has spent nearly a month in hospital overseas after suffering a bleed to the brain, multiple broken bones, and injuries that will have a long-lasting impact . Yesterday, we were finally able to bring him home to continue his recovery.
The last few weeks have been incredibly difficult for Dan, his fiancée, and their young child. Dans Fiancée and family have been flying back and forth to support him, covering accommodation costs, medical-related expenses, and trying to keep everyday life afloat during an unimaginably stressful time.
As Dan is self-employed, he has very little financial support available while he is unable to work. On top of this, the wedding they have spent years planning is now less than seven weeks away. What should be one of the happiest and most exciting times of their lives has instead become filled with uncertainty and worry, as savings intended for their wedding have had to be used to get through this crisis.
Dan now faces a long road to recovery and requires additional care and support, including specialist equipment such as a wheelchair that can give him some independence while recovering from his broken collar bone, sternum, and head injury.
We know times are difficult for everyone, but if anyone would like to support Dan and his family, any contribution would mean more than words can say. Even sharing this page would help massively.
Most of all, we just want to help give Dan, his fiancée, and their little family the chance to focus on healing, rebuilding, and hopefully still getting the happily ever after they deserve.
Thank you so much for your support!
