CFE in Thailand

My highschool has a program called CFE or cultural field experience. You can stay in the cities and help different organizations like food shelters and child care centers but you can also travel outside the state or even the country. This year I got accepted into a trip to thailand. This trip is a two week trip and we leave during the first week of March. It's with about 20 other people as we will be working with children in a northern mountain village in the Wing Pa Pao district. This is in partnership with a nonprofit organization. These children are more likely to grow up in poverty and to be subject to trafficking as they get older unless they get help to further their education. My group will be assisting the nonprofit group in the work they do with the kids in the village. We will also learn about mountain village life and about Thailand culture. I'm very excited for this trip because I've never been out of the country and never really experienced another culture. Because this trip is international it costs a lot. Anything helps. If this goes above $4,800 it will be donated to the organization we are working with. Thank you!
