Good Golly Miss is Sick- FIP Treatment Fund
Donation protected
Hi y'all! Adrienne and I's 8-month-old kitten, Miss, has unfortunately been diagnosed with wet FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis), a mutation of a feline coronavirus. This diagnosis used to be considered fatal until a new experimental drug showed promising results for full recovery. In the study, 25 out of 31 cats were cured after taking the drug for 12 weeks, a recovery rate of over 80%.
Because this drug isn't yet FDA approved or widely available, Miss's treatment will be incredibly expensive for the next 3 months. We will likely be paying between $6,000-$8,000 for the drugs, vet visits, and ER visits. Of course, we will pay any amount of money to help save our kitten, but as undergraduate students in Atlanta, our part time jobs and savings can only get us so far.
We would be beyond grateful for any donations-- even if they're small-- it all adds up! Miss means the world to us. We want to see her live a long, healthy life, especially because we also adopted her sister, Molly, and they're best friends. We can't even begin to imagine Molly losing her sister because it's already been heartbreaking to see her so confused by Miss's illness. Any help is really appreciated. Please help Miss fight this awful disease.
