Hi everyone! I'm raising money in aid of National Breast Cancer Research Institute by competing in the Hyrox (Brussels) open event on the 4th April. As most will know, my amazing mum passed away from secondary breast cancer in June 2017. Treatments are improving all the time but the fact remains that c. 30% of patients who have early-stage cancer go on to develop secondary (stage 4) cancer. We were lucky that our mum had nearly 15 years between the original diagnosis and the recurrence but we’d have given anything for 15 more and that’s where the research comes in.
