Help get my daughter back on her feet.
On the 10th of October 2024 my daughter Jordan Garrett was left fighting for her life in an induced coma at Dandenong Hospital after being savagely mauled by 3 large dogs.
Jordan entered the garden of the property she was staying at when one of the dogs set upon her, the other 2 followed. This continued until police arrived and were forced to shoot the dogs to remove them from Jordan. When arriving at the hospital they didn’t know if they were going to be able to save her life.
After 4 weeks in the induced coma, a total of 9 weeks in hospital, 9 surgery’s, 29 blood transfusions, bacterial infections, fungal bone infections, skin graphs and having to learn to walk again. Jordan is now left without the use of her dominant hand, with the strong possibility of not ever being able to use her right hand again, along with the mental trauma that she will have for the rest of her life.
I know things are tough right now for a lot of people but if you are able to help in any way it will be greatly appreciated.
Your contribution will help Jordan;
- Pay for medications
- Access ongoing physical therapy to try and regain some use of her right hand
- Access to psychologists and psychiatrists
- Taxi’s to access appointments and get around now that she cannot drive
- Hiring a wheelchair
-And eventually moving back to WA to start a new life.
Thank you for reading her story it is greatly appreciated.
