I have been training in Shotokan Karate since I was 18 years old and currently hold a number of World, European and National Titles.

In 2019 I persued my dream of opening my own karate club to bring a new, versatile sport to my local community. Chisana Senshi has gone from strength to strength and have built a strong, talented, determined squad.

In 2024 5 students were selected for KKO B Squad which enables them to fight at international level! The students range from 7 years to 11 years of age and between them they currently hold World and National Titles as well competing regularly both nationally and regionally.

We are currently raising funds to enable the students to compete in the 2025 World Championships in Sweden. The students all come from different backgrounds but all share the same dream - fighting internationally and getting that GOLD medal! Unfortunately, karate is a self funded sport and therefore competing internationally can come at a very high price.

The parents of the students are also taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise additional funds to help these young competitors get to Sweden in July! And the students will continue to take part in many smaller and local fundraising events throughout the year!
