A Letter From the Founder

Hi, I’m Mabel Namakula, founder of Miss Curvy International.

As a curvy woman who has been body-shamed, I know what it feels like to be told you are “too much.” For years, I was made to believe that my body was a problem—that I needed to shrink to be accepted. But I refused to disappear.

Instead, I created a platform where women like me could rise together.

In 2021, I launched the first Miss Curvy International in Ludwigsburg, Germany—funded entirely from my own pocket. Since then, we’ve hosted five powerful editions, each proving that beauty knows no size.

Now, I need your help.

The 6th Edition in Stuttgart, Germany is bigger than anything I can do alone. With your support, we can empower women on stage, uplift communities in Uganda, and continue rewriting the story of beauty for generations to come.
