WHO WE ARE
Ceylon Platters is a family-run, small-batch Sri Lankan food business based in Canada.
Although we now live abroad, Sri Lanka remains home at heart. Our brand is built on the flavours, warmth, and traditions we grew up with, and the Sri Lankan community is a huge part of who we are.
With the recent flooding affecting families across the island, we felt compelled to use our platform — and our little business — to help support communities back home during this time.
WHY WE’RE DOING THIS
Sri Lanka has been hit by severe flooding, leaving many families displaced and facing significant losses.
As the water recedes, the post-disaster phase begins — which is often the hardest part.
Most affected families now need support with:
- Replacing essential household items
- Purchasing dry rations
- Restoring damaged living spaces
- Accessing clean water and basic supplies
- Supporting children, elderly, and vulnerable individuals
- Restarting daily life after the crisis
This fundraiser is our effort to help families rebuild and regain stability after the storm.
To do this, we are combining:
✨ Direct donations collected here, and
✨ 50% of all sales from our Ceylon Platters Holiday Collection
Together, we hope to make a meaningful impact — even in a small way.
HOW THE FUNDS WILL BE USED
100% of the donations collected on this GoFundMe will be transferred to a verified Sri Lankan post-flood relief program supporting long-term recovery needs.
Funds may help provide:
- Dry rations & food supplies
- Household recovery kits
- Water filters & sanitation support
- School supplies for affected children
- Medical and hygiene essentials
- Assistance for families to rebuild daily life
- We will choose a trusted organization with transparent reporting and active on-ground recovery initiatives.
TRANSPARENCY STATEMENT
This fundraiser is organized in Canada, and all donations will be deposited into our Canadian business account. After the campaign ends on December 6th, we will transfer 100% of the funds to a verified Sri Lankan relief organization that focuses on post-flood recovery.
For full transparency, we will share:
