For years, I've loved the simple joy of sharing a beer and a holiday with my family. However, this changed dramatically due to severe and progressing Scoliosis.

​This challenge is made harder because I am facing it alone here in Phoenix, Arizona. My parents are in Michigan, and my closest family is in Oregon. The inability to travel means I am cut off from the physical support and comfort of my loved ones. Doctors have confirmed that this surgery is absolutely necessary to correct the spinal curvature and relieve the compression that is robbing me of my quality of life.

​The Goal: Regaining My Life and My Family

​My goal is simple: to return to a life without constant pain, so I can travel, visit my family, and once again share those precious, ordinary moments with them. My doctors estimate a recovery time of up to a year before I can return to the activities I once enjoyed.
