Send Ki'Lon to Morehouse!

You may recall me being excited about a young man from my church who had been accepted to Morehouse! Well in just a couple of weeks, Ki'Lon needs to report to campus and yet the financial gap that he must meet - at least $22,000 - continues to be a challenge. He has exhausted traditional means; as many of us know paying for college is more than a notion and federal funds are not as plentiful. Loans are even harder to come by! Because I am a believer in my network and I love this young man as if he were my own, I'm committed to seeing him get there. I have spent most of my career helping young people navigate career and higher education. There is nothing worse than doing what you're told to do, only to have the dream deferred.
Ki'Lon is a very respectful young man - I have watched him grow since he was a child. His mother has worked very hard as a single mom to raise him and his younger sister and provide them with every opportunity that would allow them exposure and experience. And he did the work - he got accepted to one of the most prestigious colleges in the United States. Ki'Lon is an role model to the younger kids at church and never says no when asked to do any thing. Here is our opportunity to say "yes" to him. Let's not watch his dream be deferred. Ki'lon has committed to knocking his first year out of the park. We just have to get him there!
